Sticky Roles

Role Persistence Across Rejoins​

Overview​

Sticky Roles remembers which configured roles a member held when they left the server and automatically re-assigns those roles when they rejoin. Only roles explicitly marked as sticky are saved and restored — other roles are not affected.

Setup​

  1. Run /settings stickyroles to open the Sticky Roles settings.
  2. Click Add Sticky Role and select the role to make sticky. Repeat for each role.
  3. To stop a role from being sticky, click Remove Sticky Role and select it.

Usage​

  • When a member leaves, the bot saves which configured sticky roles they held at the time.
  • When they rejoin (at any point in the future), those roles are re-assigned automatically.
  • Only the intersection of the member's roles and the configured sticky roles is saved. Roles added to the sticky list after a member leaves will not be retroactively applied.

  • Description: Opens the Sticky Roles settings menu.
  • Parameters: None.
  • Permissions: Administrator.
  • Available On: Both.
