Keyword Responder

Automatic Replies to Configured Keywords​

Overview​

Keyword Responder automatically replies to a member's message whenever it contains a specified keyword or phrase (case-insensitive). The bot replies directly to the triggering message so context is clear. Each keyword can optionally be scoped to a single channel, or left unscoped to match in any channel.

Setup​

  1. Run /settings keywordresponder to open the Keyword Responder settings.
  2. Click Add Keyword to open the add form.
  3. Enter the trigger keyword or phrase, the response message, and an optional Channel ID to restrict matching to a specific channel. Leave the Channel ID blank to match in all channels.
  4. Repeat for each keyword.
  5. To remove a keyword, click Remove Keyword and select it from the dropdown.

Usage​

  • When a message contains a configured keyword, the bot replies directly to that message with the configured response.
  • Matching is case-insensitive and uses substring detection (the keyword can appear anywhere in the message).
  • If a channel scope is set, the keyword only triggers in that channel.
  • Only the first matching keyword fires per message.

Commands​

/settings keywordresponder​

  • Description: Opens the Keyword Responder settings menu to add or remove keyword-response pairs.
  • Parameters: None.
  • Permissions: Administrator.
  • Available On: Both.
